Born in 1997 in London, Ibra Balogun grew up in a household where arts and entrepreneurship thrived—his mother a baker and his father a banker—instilling a passion for creative expression from an early age.
After several years in Canada, a pivotal visit to Lagos, Nigeria, reconnected Ibra to his roots and ignited his love for design. In high school, he began creating posters and album covers, including his first-ever poster for a soccer tournament, Puskas. This experience inspired him to pursue a diploma in Communication Information Technology at the University of Toronto Mississauga, where he formally honed his design skills. While studying, Ibra sharpened his craft by designing for the University of Toronto Athletic Council and ICCIT Council, while also freelancing for various U.S.-based brands. After graduating, he gained transformative experience as an intern at Rapseason and Ink Entertainment in 2019, reshaping their digital presence and working with top-tier music clients.
In 2020, Ibra launched his independent practice, taking on high-profile projects like Dilla Time for Scenario Media. By 2021, his career transitioned to agency work, collaborating with U.S. agencies such as Scout Lab, Mirror NYC, and CTHDRL.
